Went to Cous Cous last night with some friends. Great night per usual. Then it came down to the walk home. My roommates weren't having any walking, but I didn't have my bike with me, plus I was wearing some really cute Jeffrey Campbell boots that have a heel. Anyway, so I was going to ride on the handlebars but neither of their bikes were equipped for that sort of mess. Instead, I rode Andy's bike home. Andy rode Grant's bike home, sitting on the top tube, and Grant sat on the seat, how they didn't die I have NO idea. How I didn't die I have NO idea either. Came home, ate a delicious enchilada I made the other night, drank some really good gin Grant bought and watched TV with Grant. I woke up this morning to them yelling my name and playing dance music downstairs. Greatest. Roommates. Ever.

Managing isn't that difficult at Tarrants. It's pretty tight having that responsibility and being only 23. I've overcome some pretty intense stuff in my life to be so young. And I'm totally proud of myself for once. Jenny Lewis is my idol.

Andy and I started a design collaberative called The Bucher Shoppe. Look out for some stuff coming out of that. We need a domain name yet. Finally I can do something with my photography. I met a professional photographer last night at work and he said he'd take a look at my work if I emailed him my stuff. The other lady said to stop being hard on myself and to showcase my work.

I can't believe I'm doing all this stuff and still managing to get good grades. I'm finally finding the balance.

Saw 4 kids get arrested last night from my front porch. Aaron, Jenny and I were watching TV when we saw a huge amount of flashing blue lights. Turns out 2 kids broke into the abandoned building across the street and stole a bike. They were so obnoxious and stupid and rude to the cops and cursed A LOT. Then their 2 friends showed up to try to get them out of it and then they ended up getting arrested too. This girl totally ate shit on the sidewalk and 2 cops had to hold her down. It was pretty freaking hilarious and a lot better than watching TV. Motherfuck tha police.

I got a couple vegan cookbooks in the mail the other day and I'm super super super super excited about my new lifestyle. Too bad everyone that I tell just brings me down. They think it's super unhealthy and I don't even want to start telling them that our ancestors started off as herbivores, not carnivores. I don't care about evolution and why we have incisors. I just want to be healthier and this is my best bet so I can't really fuck it up. I've got my vitamins and meals planned for the most part. It's really not difficult and quite tasty. I love carbs.

I'm taking my first ever B-12 vitamin. It was hard finding a vitamin that wasn't produced in a factory that milk and dairy was produced.

Went shopping tonight with Brandon for stuff for his apartment. We ended up at Target, where I went on a mad dash for the Orla Kiely stuff and surprisingly enough they had some stuff!
I scored the cute laundry bag, some plates, tumblers, a couple cute pear kitchen towel holders and a serving bowl. I also got some magazine holders and a couple storage bins. I was pretty stoked on the outcome.

So I'm officially going vegan soon. I'm going to clean out my refrigerator of all the meat products (by eating them, not throwing them away, what a waste!) and start fresh. I went to Whole Foods the other night and got a bunch of new food to try and so far so good. I'm in love with the Tofutti cream cheese and I got these really delicious frozen bagels. I have a lot to learn but I think it'll be well worth it.

Brandon found this tight ass apartment downtown. It's so cute and perfect for him and the dogs. I'm so excited for him. Plus I still get to walk his dogs!

Ok so when I bought my house I got a tax abatement for 14 years on my house, meaning I don't have to pay any taxes to the city of Richmond for that period of time. That rules. But it sucks because my mortgage automatically charges me for taxes each month (which would be good if I paid taxes) so now the city owes me money for 1.5 years of taxes. I'm finally seeing some of that back this week, which rules, and I'm setting up my mortage payment each month to not take the taxes out so my payment will be lower! And rent will be lower for my roommates!

Made 50$ in 3 hours last night at work, which was fine with me considering I did little to no work to make that money.

I came home and did some chest and back exercises and attempted from ab exercises but I was dead to the world at that point. I like cardio better.

I have class at 11 until 5:40 today but I doubt it will last that long since I heard my last professor is sort of a slacker. He grades based on which of his favorite football teams wins!

Definitely going to see Starr today at MCV with Jess. I couldn't make it yesterday because of work and school. I sent her these tight flowers. I hope she gets them and some n00b doesn't steal them.

This week will be busy, kind of. I have to work tomorrow 11-3 (COME SEE ME AT LUNCH!!), then class on Thursday, 11-3:15, then work 5-close, work Friday morning 6:45-11:45 at Pets at Play and work 5-close at Tarrant's. Then work again at Pets at Play 8-6 on Saturday. I guess Sunday I will start volunteering at the SPCA.

i made a buttload of money tonight at tarrant's, which was a nice welcome back present. but, i can't seem to find any time in my schedule to take classes at the visual arts center next semester. i'm super bummed because i really want to take some photography classes or digital imaging classes but all their classes clash with my school classes.

tomorrow night is the tarrant's christmas party. i honestly can't wait. i got a really good secret santa white elephant gift going on. the only thing i can't decide is what to wear!

i work tomorrow at pets at play at 645 am. this is worth mentioning because i usually only work saturdays. working during the week is strange.

I really like this picture I took at Sunset Cliffs of the two bikers. Real cute.

I had such a good time in San Diego the past four days. It all ended way too quickly. I took over 300 pictures, most of them blurry/retarded/ridiculous but nonetheless, they definitely captured the essence of this trip. I met Dennis, who is also from Richmond, who drives the SWEET bus. Tight dude, very funny and really cool and has an awesome dog with a lethal tail. He's like the only other person I know that's seen Bikecar. Funny we met on the other coast at Andy's house.

So, it definitely rained two out of three days I was there, which was kind of a bummer, but I think it gave us time to all hang out and do some alternate explorations of the mall (even though the mall was outside). And we ate a lot of really good food and explored some more.

Got to see my little 9-month old nephew, Preston, who is teething and acting a fool in front of company. He looks a lot like JR, which is weird because it's definitely not his baby (it's my other brother's baby, my half-brother, who lives in Santa Ana).

I'm coming back to California for spring break March 7th. Can't wait to hang out again! Hopefully the weather will be much better then.

Laura is gone from Richmond and that sucks a lot but she's gotta do what she's gotta do.

Oh and I passed PSYC214 with a C. Suck it.

i forgot to say that i signed up to volunteer at the spca. i hope it doesn't suck. they have this program called the green team. they focus on rehabilitating the dogs so they can get adopted quicker. basically, anyone can do it that's capable, according their website. they have these different classes: How Dogs Think and Learn, Clicker Training Basics, How Dogs Communicate (canine body language and interaction), and Your Behavior Toolbox (training in a shelter environment).

i think that'd be pretty perfect. now if i could only train my own dogs...

just dropped my bavarian motor works baby at the shop. hot diggity. let's see how much this will run me:

-leaking fuel line
-check engine light
-weird wire cord thing hanging down on my front bumper
-maybe getting my fenders rolled (if not this time, in a few weeks by this dude in powhatan)

but it's all so worth it! i love my baby car.

p.s. i am doing everything but studying. suck it.
